Join me at The Texas Book Festival for a presentation + signing.

My presentation will be hosted by Scott David Gordon from the Austin Art Talk Podcast. I’ll be discussing the making of the book and tales of being in a studio with lions, tigers, and bears… and a few cows.

The Session Location will be the State Capitol Building, Capitol Auditorium followed by a signing afterwards.

Join us at Pentagram Design in Austin for a kid friendly Animal themed launch party! Pentagram Austin designed Fords book and commissioned him to photograph a series of Dairy Cows that was the start of his animal project.

“In our continuing series of talks on the process, craft and life of working in the visual arts, The Picture Review team is thrilled to announce that photographer, Randal Ford will be joining us for another installment of “In Conversation”. He will be presenting his new book published by Rizzoli, “Animal Kingdom: A Collection of Portraits” with special guest Dan Winters. Written by Mr. Ford with a foreword by Mr. Winters, the book celebrates our fascination with animals through engaging portraits and essays. Together with host Sean Perry + The.DPP, the trio will discuss the alchemy of making portraits, followed by a Q+A session and book signing. “Animal Kingdom” will be avaible to purchase during the signing.”

PechaKucha [ or ペチャクチャ translated as “chit-chat”] is a series of brief 6-minute talks from presenters in the creative industry including artists, musicians, architects, filmmakers, writers, entrepreneurs, and local personalities. Each presenter shows 20 images, each for 20 seconds. The presentations are not a pitch, but a format to share insights and stories.
