Ichy
Great Dane
Full name Ichabod, Ichy stood as tall and slender as the fictional character he was named after-- and perhaps equally as interested in the spirit world (he was known for growling at inanimate objects every now and again). I knew I wanted to shoot Ichy differently. Great Danes are always and primarily noticed for their size and stature, their slow horse-like gait and jowled, unbridled snouts. I was drawn to the idea of leaving his size a visual mystery and, instead, focusing on the columnal spears atop his spotted head. Ichy’s eyes were also incredibly powerful and with much story-- I loved the way the my flash illuminated the glacial quality of his blue eye.
