Black Leopard Cub

$0.00

Name:  Dante

Photographer Notes:  Black Leopard Cub Dante was about 2 months old when I photographed him.  Like other baby animals, he was fast as lightning!  So it seemed fitting to try to capture a shot of him mid gait.  I shot maybe 100 frames of him and somehow managed to grab this profile where his legs and tail just looked perfect.  If you look closely, you can see the classic leopard spots in Dante’s skin.  Sometimes referred to as panthers, black leopards are a leopard that inherited a melanistic gene. The Panthera genus includes lions, tigers, spotted leopards, snow leopards, and jaguars.
