Black Maine Coon on Black

$0.00

Name: Visenya

Photographer Notes: Black cats get a bad rap. Visenya was as sweet as can be and only brought good luck to set. Maine Coon cats are one of the largest domesticated cat breeds and make great pasture mascots. Social and outgoing by nature, Visenya makes her rounds each day saying hello to all of her farm friends—dogs, birds, and every human in between. Ever since I began my series of black animals on black backgrounds, I’ve always wanted to photograph a black cat. After years of waiting, I got lucky with Visenya when we unexpectedly met her on a chicken farm. The stars aligned, and I just love how her stunning yellow eyes pop in the midst of her deep black hues.
