Photographer Notes: Cows were my first journey into the world of animal photography and they are still my favorite subjects. Maxine was calm, cool, and collected. She’s made many appearances on TV commercials and movies. I guess Maxine’s as close to a celebrity cow as there is. Her performance in studio did not disappoint and my desire for a straight on, clean portrait came with ease. One note about celebrity cows is their bathroom breaks are so substantial (i.e. voluminous), a member from her entourage stands close by on set ready to jump in with a large bucket to catch her… ahem, digestive elimination shall we say.
