Photographer Notes: Wise owl Walter was a resident of the Southeastern Raptor Center. He was rehabbing an old wing before being released out into the wild again. Without a doubt, Owls are one of the most expressive animals I’ve photographed. They move their head and eyes constantly, taking note everything around them. Observers of details, which I too can appreciate. He gave us plenty of good looks and after much deliberation, I settled on this one as my favorite.
