Photographer Notes: Get your horns ready Luke. I met Luke at the Dallas Zoo, where they’re spearheading a conservation program with the Texas Parks and Wildlife to grow the Horned Lizards population. Luke was tiny, like three inches tiny, tops, which was a challenge from a technical perspective. But he was a performer, lifting his head at just the right time, showing off those horns, and taking direction like a pro. Horned lizards are native to the state of Texas and the mascot of Texas Christian University (TCU Horned Frogs). Consequently, Luke is named after TCU alumnus and actor Luke Wilson.
