Longhorn Newborn Calf
Name: Bug
Photographer Notes: Bug was brand new to the world and only a week old when his portrait was taken. With his mama close to his side, this bug-eyed baby dazzled my lens with innocence. It’s rare to photograph a calf so young, but what an honor it was. Baby animals are special to us for so many reasons, but one thing I love as a photographer is how beautiful and crisp their features are. Every strand of Bug’s new coat shined like a new car. His tiny nose—perfectly pink and glowing—paired with those baby blues disproportionately large and full of charm. Bug was a special presence and brought a lot of softness to the set.
