Photographer Notes: Although he looks like a white dove, Pax is actually a white homing pigeon. White pigeons are what are generally used in ceremonies to symbolize peace and what most people think of when they see a white dove. I photographed Pax on a small French farm and he was very challenging. We would set him down with some birdseed and I’d capture 1-2 frames and then he’d take off. I knew I wanted a simple clean profile so that’s the shot we focused on in our limited time.
